Event description

Description

Think about where you get your news. Not where you first hear about something, but how you verify it to be true. Sure, social media is where you might hear about or read something, but traditional media outlets -- print, radio, and TV -- are still the definitive sources to qualify something as true.

Join Stratiscope on September 26th from 10am to 12noon to meet the people behind the news (producers, editors, and reporters) to help you understand how to make your story catch their attention, what the process is for pitching stories, and how to leverage work you’re already doing and get the media exposure you deserve.

Current confirmed* panelists include,

Rob Elmore, News Director, ABC7

Rosanna Xia, Reporter, LA Times

Christina Pascucci, Anchor/Reporter KTLA

This panel-format training session will help you understand the process in a digital era and the "dos and don'ts" for working with news outlets. Space is limited, so register today!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This Training is intended for Non-profit leaders from the LA area, including Board Members, Executive Directors, Communications Managers, and other executive staff.

LOCATION NOTE:
The training room is on the second floor, and due to the age of the building, there is no elevator.

PARKING:
