Event description

Description

If you want to do business with NYC, getting certified as a Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) can help you to accomplish that goal! NYC has set a goal of 30% of all contracts must go to minority or women owned businesses in 2021.

Getting certified as a Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) gives you exclusive access to opportunities to sell to government, networking events, inclusion in the City's Online Directory of Certified Businesses and offers many other benefits.

Join us for a workshop that will walk you through the process for completing your M/WBE application.

You will learn about:

  • Getting certified as an M/WBE with New York City, New York State, NYC School Construction Authority, and The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

  • Applying for a vendor number and get notified of government opportunities in your industry

  • Completing your M/WBE application the right way

  • Working with an account manager to review your application for completeness before submitting it to an analyst for approval
