Event description

Description

Did you know there are over 100 species of bees living in the Seattle Area? And that most of them are very unlikely to sting, don't make honey, or live in a hive? These bees play a critical role in bringing food to our table and keeping our environment healthy - and they are in danger!

Your whole family can learn together about where these bees live and what you can do to keep them healthy! During the class, we'll learn:

  • the different body parts of a bee and what they are used for
  • making a recycled bee house to take home
  • pollinator games to learn how different bees gather food
