Why should I take this class?
Productivity is one of the most fundamental forces in your life - every 2% increase gives you a whole extra week per year.
We all make the same New Year's resolutions: Get organized. Finish that project. Get back on track. Make progress toward my goals. But how many of us have an actionable plan for making these things happen?
In this class, I will show you how to adopt productivity behaviors that bring you automatically, day by day, toward your goals. Grand, heroic efforts are great for the movies, but in real life it is the small habits you've built into your life that make the biggest difference in the end.
What is Workflow Design?
It is a new approach to productivity that combines the best of traditional productivity thinking centered around efficiency (such as the Getting Things Done method*), with new ideas in user experience design that emphasize the holistic experience of work.

What's your story?
I started learning about productivity after returning from 2 years in the Peace Corps. Diving headfirst into a demanding environment working among startups in San Francisco, I tried everything I could - from ergonomics and sprints to self-tracking and time management - to manage my work and get more done with less effort.
After more than a year of experimentation, I managed to increase my productivity by 341% in 8 months. Click here to see a presentation I gave at the Quantified Self Silicon Valley meetup on how I tracked this.
But just as importantly, I found an approach to the projects and goals in my life that keeps me balanced and organized, not as a utopian, magazine-style ideal, but as a practical starting point for actually getting more stuff done.
In this class I've condensed hundreds of hours of researching, experimenting, teaching, and coaching into 2 hours of interactive learning.
In order to create your workflow, in this course we will learn how to:
Centralize your to dos, projects, and commitments in one place
Minimize clutter in your digital and physical environment to promote focus
Organize and align your tasks, projects, responsibilities, and goals in a simple, yet comprehensive system
Automate your routine (but still necessary) activities so you have more time to focus on "deep work"
Iterate on your workflow based on measurable results
