Christina Butera is an Atlanta-based composer and educator interested in both acoustic and electroacoustic music. Her compositions draw from a diverse range of styles. In her interactive installation work, Christina’s goal is to create a compelling audiovisual experience by offering her community a new music experience that is accessible and exciting. Her music has been performed at venues across the country, as well as international venues in Canada, Germany, France and Australia. She has served as the Vice President and Artistic Committee Chair for the non-profit arts organization KcEMA (Kansas City Electronic Music and Arts Alliance) and currently sits on the Board for IAWM, serving as the organization’s Webmaster. She teaches composition and music technology and is the director of Noire (Contemporary Popular Music Ensemble) at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.
Sabrina Pena Young is an award-winning music technologist & respected leader in film, media, & music. Young provides clients with world-class digital marketing as Creative Director of Bandwidth Media & Film in Buffalo, NY. Young's best known for her original animated Libertaria: The Virtual Opera. Young presented her work at TEDx, Beijing Conservatory, NYC Opera America, NPR Morning Edition, ICMC, Miramax’s Project Greenlight, and Art Basil Miami. Young received the Cintas Foundation Composer Fellowship and the Lois Weber Film Award. The Cintas Foundation released her Libertaria Song Cycle with the Grammy-nominated album series Sonidos Cubanos in 2021.
