Event will be held rain or shine. In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather, refunds will not be issued.
Course: Race course roads will close at 8:00 a.m. The race course is closed to bikes, skaters and baby joggers/strollers. Water will be provided on course and at the finish line.
Directions: CCBC Essex is located off Baltimore Beltway (695) Exit 34 (Rosedale). At Exit 34, turn onto Maryland Route 7 (Philadelphia Road) heading toward White Marsh. Proceed one-quarter mile and turn left onto Rossville Boulevard. Turn right onto College Drive North. Proceed and make right turn onto Division Lane. 5K parking will be in Lot 1; one-mile parking will be in Lot 2.
The campus is approximately one mile on the right adjacent to the Franklin Square Hospital Center.
Amenities: All pre-registered runners will receive a cotton long sleeve T-shirt with black imprints given out to first 1,000 participants (sizes and availability NOT guaranteed for day-of-race registration), water on course, entry in random prize drawing (must be present to win) and post-race refreshments.
Volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt. Volunteers should check in on race day at the volunteer table.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall, and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over. Trophies will also be given to the largest team, most funds raised by a team and most funds raised by an individual.
Door Prizes are awarded, must be present to win.
Team Registration: Build morale and form a team from your senior center, company, church, family or friends. Being part of a team is fun! You’ll build camaraderie and community while raising much-needed funds for senior exercise classes and fitness centers in Baltimore County. Team members receive all the benefits of individual race participants plus early packet pick-up. We encourage you to wear T-shirts displaying your team/center/company name or logo on race day.
Please no baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your number to another participant.
