Get On the Hacker Bus From San Francisco to GDC Next, Los Angeles!

tapsense.com/hackerbus

TapSense, AT&T, Nvidia, Pocket Gamer, and Women Who Code have combined forces to launch the first-ever hackathon for mobile app developers on the Hacker Bus, a wifi-enabled luxury motorcoach. Developers on the Hacker Bus will receive a complimentary seat on the bus and an expo pass to GDC Next. Don’t live in SF? No problem. Remote participation is welcome. Sign up to participate in person on the hacker bus or from anywhere in the world as a remote participant.

We Provide:

TapSense will provide roundtrip luxury motorcoach transportation from SF to LA, expo passes to GDC Next, hacking work space in Los Angeles, food, caffeinated beverages, and the prize. The Hacker Bus departs San Francisco on Sunday, 11/2 and returns from Los Angeles on Wednesday, 11/5.

You Provide:

You will bring your laptop and creative ideas. You will have the opportunity to purchase a hotel room in LA at a discounted rate.

Contestants:

  • Up to 50 seats available for Bus Hackers

  • Unlimited registration for Remote Global Hackers

  • Teams of 1-3 people

  • Don't worry if you don't have a team - we'll match you up with other hackers!

The Selection Process for Bus Hackers:

In order to be eligible for the bus, you must be 18 years or older, and have at least one app in the Android or iTunes app store. It will also help if you’re located in the Bay Area, as our bus will make only two stops, the first in San Francisco and the second in Los Angeles. The organizers will review all the submissions for Hacker Bus participation and notify the selected hackers by October 6, 2014.

The Prize

$10,000 in mobile advertising spend to the winning team to promote your app.

Judges:

Amit Manjhi – CTO & Co-Founder, TapSense

Alex Donn – Developer Evangelist, AT&T Mobility

Alaina Percival – CEO, Women Who Code

Chris James – Managing Director, Pocket Gamer

David Coombes – Developer Program Manager, Nvidia
