Do you love Boulder? Do you want to have a part in the decisions that matter? Find out why City Boards and Commissions play such an important role in shaping this place where we live, work and play. Hear from with those in the know and learn how you can get a seat at the table.

6-7 PM: Join your host, former Boulder City Council Member Angelique Espinoza for an overview of opportunities available. City Council Member Aaron Brockett will share what Council looks for when appointing people to boards. Current city board member Lauren Folkerts will share why she decided to apply, and how things are going.

7-8 PM: Ready to apply but don't know where to start? Get practical advice and assistance to be a standout candidate for city and county boards and commissions. Bring your laptop or tablet to get started on your written application and prepare for your interview.

Ask your burning questions and get on a board or commission in 2019!

It’s free to attend, but please do RSVP so we can plan for refreshments.

Hosted by Open Boulder, encouraging broad community involvement, government accountability, and practical local government decisions to enhance our lives, whether at home, work, or play.
