Event Details

This forum will focus on Green STEM Education, drawing attention to teaching about sustainability, renewable energy, and clean technology concepts and careers.

Participants will take part in hands-on Green STEM demonstration activities and learn about green careers from clean energy professionals during the Green STEM Exhibitions and Demonstrations.

Dr. Becky Wai-Ling Packard of Mount Holyoke College will speak about mentoring young people through STEM career pathways.  We will also hear from young adults who are currently in the STEM pipeline, pursuing higher education degrees in STEM fields after graduating from Boston Public Schools and gaining experience through green jobs and internships.

Break-out sessions covering topics such as career connections, diversity and STEM careers, benchmarks for STEM success and more will provide event participants the opportunity to learn from experts in STEM education, discuss relevant issues with colleagues and develop strategies to carry the work forward.
