Covenant Village of Turlock, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will help senior U.S. military service veterans get the benefits for which they’re entitled by hosting an educational presentation by Jim Greer, county veteran services officer/manager of the Stanislaus County office of Veterans Services, on Aug. 1.
During the event, which will start at 1p.m., Greer will discuss compensation and pension benefits for in-home care, assisted living and skilled nursing; burial benefits; and more. Following his presentation, Greer will answer questions from the audience. Employed by Stanislaus County, Greer is accredited by the California Department of Veteran Affairs to act as an advocate and liaison with both the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and the California Department of Veteran Affairs.
