Drawing on the political discussions in California and Germany around regulatory approaches, panelists will debate the following: What are the benefits and social costs associated with platform work? Should self-employed platform workers have access to social security and basic employment rights? What can countries and regions do to set the rules for global platform companies, and what are the responsibilities of these companies?
