Event Details

It's nearly time for this year's Geoscience conference at Dublin Castle, proudly hosted by Geological Survey Ireland. This year we're focusing on the economic value of geoscience.

Join us for the release of a new Economic Profile of the sector in Ireland detailing the contribution that geoscience makes to our economy.

Topics of the conference to include:

- The Blue Economy and Marine Geoscience

- The Value of Geoheritage and Geotourism to Ireland's Economy

- Extractive Industries

- The Internationalisation of Geoscience

...and many more.

Plus, updates on progress from across Geological Survey Ireland, including flood prevention and groundwater, land mapping, research, and the Tellus programme.

We expect plenty of colourful debate in our panel discussions on Brexit: The Elephant in the Room, and Competing Interests in Geoscience.

Complimentary hot lunch will be served to participants, as well as finger foods at our evening wine reception.
