Day 1 18th April . 9.30 Geoscience 2012 - A Safe City - The contribution of Geoscience in the Urban Environment
The Geological Survey of Ireland, Geological Survey of Northern Ireland and the Royal Irish Academy are pleased to announce a one day conference to be held in Dublin Castle on the 18th April, 2012. The general themes of the conference are water (both surface and groundwater) and hazards in the urban environment from the perspective of the public sector and industry. In the evening, at 6.00 p.m., there will be a Keynote address given by Professor John McCloskey
Day 2 19th April 9.30 Geoscience 2012 - Tellus Border and Informar
Morning - TELLUS BORDER (InterReg) Project, being carried out by GSI & Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, will host their Annual seminar.
Afternoon - GSI and the Geoscience Initiaves- INFOMAR, the national marine mapping programme, being jointly undertaken by GSI and Marine Institute, will report on recent highlights.
Geoscience Initiatives Programme, updates on these infrastructural projects including Groundwater, Geohazards, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Minerals.
The conference has been changed to a 2 day event.
