Event Details

Georgia Tech Associate Vice Provost of Research & Technology and Chief Technology Officer, Ron Hutchins, is leading a cross-functional team of senior Georgia Tech leadership, esteemed faculty, and staff to begin formulating a cohesive plan around the High Performance Computing Center, the proposed expansion on Technology Square.

As part of this planning, we have scheduled a large meeting at Georgia Tech to discuss the facility we are building. The meeting will be held on the November 11, between 8am-12pm. This meeting date and time will complement the Georgia Tech People and Technology Forum, which will take place on November 11 and 12.

If you would also like to attend the Forum, please REGISTER HERE.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the planning of the High Performance Computing Center. We have invited folks who work on cloud computing, smart grid, building information modeling, big data and secure storage, networking (data centers as well as community networking, network virtualization, etc.) and as has been previously discussed, the notion of the data center as a part of the community (heat reuse, analytics capabilities for startup companies) on hand to review the ideas which have been proposed and help guide us in this endeavor.
