Thank you for your interest in our Fall Gathering.
We will come together on the weekend of October 20-22 at Amicalola State Park and Lodge to celebrate our community’s 125 years of service to the environment.
We are excited to have Loren Blackford, Sierra Club President, as keynote speaker at the Saturday night banquet.
Loren Blackford presides over an all-female executive committee, the first in the Sierra Club's 125-year history. She is a member of the Ceres President's Council, Rachel's Network, NRDC's E2, and Voices for Progress. She previously worked in community development at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and Living Cities and focused on international environmental negotiations at the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service and the Quaker UN Office.
Along with the keynote address, workshops and outings include:
-
Workshops on sustainable activism and digital activism strategies
-
Seminars on Sierra Club programs, such as our Military Outdoors Program and Sierra Club 101
-
An awards banquet celebrating our incredible accomplishments and honoring our volunteers
-
Nature photography, hiking, and paddling trips in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains
-
And more!
