Two-Day Georgia AER Description

Day 1 (Thursday, March 8th):

  • Interactive Panel Presentation by More Than a Dozen Organizations Across Georgia
    • addressing all stages of development and transition: babies, children, adults and seniors
  • Panel Presentation from Consumers and Trainers on on Head-Borne Solutions including Aira, NUEyes and OrCam
    • presenters providing first-hand experience and training solutions
  • Strategies and Tips for Selecting the Right AT Solutions for Your Students and Clients
    • includes identifying the problem, considering current skill level, understanding unique visual and learning needs, awareness of AT solutions and considerations, and building a toolkit
  • Optional: Networking Opportunity for Conference Attendees: Dinner & Drinks at RiRa Irish Pub

Day 2 (Friday, March 9th):

  • Flexing O&M Skills: Modified Methods for Teaching O&M Skills to Low Functioning and Young Students
