Description

Georgia Accessible Transportation Coalition advocates for legislation that removes barriers on wheelchair accessible transportation in Ride share services V4H and Infrastructure including sidewalks accessible pathways in communities with disability rights for the opportunity to live full lives and contribute across the state of Georgia. With equal access to transportation Wheelchair users can be engaged in communities with family and friends, live in real homes and not institutional settings, choosing a schedule of activities where be employed, to shop and play spending wages back in the Georgia economy!!!

Please join us on the second Thursday of each month from 10am to noon in the training room at Gao. Address: 1 West Court Square #625, Decatur, GA 30030

As an all-volunteer grassroots organization, our success is contingent upon the involvement of active and engaged citizens. Please send in a letter of support as an organization or individual citizen and consider joining today. The event is open to all who have an interest in the future shape and development of Georgia. It will be of relevance to those with an interest in Georgia’s economy and transportation networks from a range of policy, community, academic and lay perspectives. Insights from the event will be used to inform the direction of the project. We are looking for several Interns / Volunteers / Community Service people who can fulfill the following Non-paid Positions and duties:

Graphic Design Internship, Grant writer, Online Research, Data Entry, Data Management, Administrative Support, Creative Brainstorming, Event Staffing, Event Planning, Scheduling Meetings, Organizing Meetings, Preparing Documents & E mails, Participating in Meetings with Consumers, Constituents, Community Leaders & Business Leaders, Community Outreach, Marketing & Public Relations Activities, Legislative Research, Issue educating & Advocacy and Possibly More!
