Congratulations on your new role and welcome to Georgetown University! New Employee Orientation (NEO) is the university-wide orientation for new staff (faculty can reference this page). In this session you will receive key information about how to get started at Georgetown, our campus policies, and discover a variety of useful employee resources. You will also have the opportunity to learn about our Jesuit Values and history and virtually meet other new colleagues and members of our HR team.


  1. Register for this session directly by clicking "register", selecting the closest available date, and completing the form. You may register with an alternative non-GU email address and the full name you applied to this role with if you do not have access to your Georgetown NETID yet.
  2. Review the Orientation Welcome Folder and begin Pt I of the New Employee Checklist.
  3. Login virtually on Monday morning at 9:30am. This is a live, virtual session held over Zoom. You will receive a confirmation email that contains a unique link to the Zoom login information. Click the orange "View the event" button to see the detailed login information. You will also receive a reminder on Monday morning, sent to the email you registered with. Please do not share this link with individuals external to Georgetown.

If you absolutely cannot attend, the next NEO date can be found on our Eventbrite homepage. However, we encourage you to attend orientation on your first day or first week to have the most beneficial experience. NOTE: This session does not cover Healthcare/Dental/Vision Benefits. A separate New Employee Benefits Orientation (NEBO) is held on Tuesday mornings following NEO Mondays, at 9:30am-10:30am. Register here to attend.
