About this event
Whether you like edgy urban photography, macro, black & white, intimate scenes, architecture or just cool old stuff, you are going to want to join us at the Georgetown Steam Plant. We have reserved the whole place for a small group of photographers to have 2 hours of photography bliss.
Built in 1906 for the Seattle Electric Company, the plant provided both AC and DC currents for the streetcar and Georgetown proper power needs at the turn of the century. The plant has been remarkably well-preserved, with it's brass-plated temperature gauges, small steering wheels, turbines, ladders and pipes, the photographic possibilities are endless.
Online Class Tamron has a free online class to accompany this photowalk so you can get the most out of your experience photographing this historical landmark. Register HERE
Loaner Lenses Tamron will have loaner lenses that will help you tell your story of the Georgetown Steam Plant. There are opportunities for a variety of focal lengths on this photo walk. If you want to borrow a lens, plan to meet just outside the driveway leading to the parking lot at 10:30am so we can get loaners done and have more time shooting.
Registration includes admittance fees.
*Please bring a signed Seattle City Light release form with you.
