Event description

Description

Join us and learn about our region's geology as we splash in Hunters Creek as it winds through a 100-foot tall gorge and over a small waterfall! This popular hike is a great family adventure on a warm summer day.

Our guide will be Stan Radon, an engineering geologist with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Stan also teaches geology, energy, and environmental classes at SUNY Buffalo.

Hunters Creek runs between our Kenneglenn Nature Preserve and the Mossy Point Forest we are currently working to protect in the Town of Wales.

This hike is supported with funding from the New York State Conservation Partnership Program and New York's Environmental Protection Fund.
