On Saturday, November 12, 2016 come join the Arizona Geographic Alliance for a half-day, no cost workshop at the Arizona Capitol Museum, 1700 W Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85007
Activities at this professional development opportunity for K-12 Teachers will include:
- A Tour of the State Capitol
- Showcase of GeoCivics Lessons (lessons that integrate geography and civics as well as other subjects like language arts and history)
- GeoCaching in Wesley Bolin Park
- See our Giant Map of Arizona
Participation is limited to 45 people. Participants will be divided into groups and will rotate through each of the activities listed.
Cost: Free but you must place a $30.00 deposit which will be returned if you attend.
Deadline to Register: In order to join us on this GeoDayTrip, we must receive your registration, including payment, no later than 11:00 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2016.
Cancellations must be made by November 3, 2016, or before, to have your deposit returned if you do not attend. Substitutions are accepted.
