What is Geo Challenge?

WishWin's Geo Challenge is a fun way to learn and explore our planet. We believe that the sky is the limit and the earth has no boundaries. The objective of our Geo Challenge is to test the abilities of curious minds with questions about our mother planet and the solar system. The variety of topics range from the solar system, to world geography, geography of oceans, and other phenomena of the planet.

The Geo Challenge aims to provide a learning experience to students so that they can re-discover cultures, geographies and physical features of our land and everything around us.

Q: What are the categories for Geo Challenge?

Geo Challenge consists of 2 levels

    • Geo Challenge for juniors : Grades 1, 2, and 3
    • Geo Challenge for seniors: Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8

Q: What will my child gain from participating in Geo Challenge?

  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Learn variety of topics ranging from US geography, world geography, Indian geography, water bodies, land forms, physical features of lands, and other phenomena of the planet.
  • Help lay the foundation in the future preparation for national geographic bee and other national level competitions

Q: Will the exam/ test consist of written and oral sections?

Geo Challenge will consist of written and oral sections.

Q: Will the exam/test be answer based or will it be multiple choice?

The exam/test will consist of multiple choice questions.

Q: What type of questions can we expect?

The questions of Geo Challenge will be tailored to the category, with some extra challenging questions. The objective of our Geo Challenge is to test the abilities of curious minds with questions about our mother planet.

Q: What is the format of Geo Challenge?

Geo Challenge will be a written test/exam consisting of 30 questions and an oral section consisting of 2 rounds.

Q: How long will the exam/test be?

Overall exam duration will be 2 hours; the initial 15 minutes will be allocated for explanation of rules, and the exam/test will last 60 minutes, comprised of written and oral rounds. The time allocated for written and oral sections will be 50% each. The award ceremony will be in the afternoon.

Q: What should students bring to the test?

Students should bring pencils, pens, and erasers to the test.

Q: What should I bring for onsite check-in?

You may either bring a printed or mobile copy of the registration ticket.

During onsite check-in, photo / video consent form has to be submitted, which is a prerequisite to participate in the competition.

Q: What is photo/video release consent form?

Our competitions are meant to promote academic excellence and recognize students for their talent and hard work. During our competitions, there will be pictures and videos taken which may be posted on our website. Students who wish to participate in our competitions will have to turn in a photo / video release consent form at the time of onsite check-in on the day of the competition.

Q: When should the students arrive?

The students are expected to arrive 20 minutes before the exam for onsite check-in, seating of students, and explanation of rules.

Q: Can parents be present in the room when the students are taking the test?

Parents will not be allowed in the room during the written test. Based on discretion, if space permits, parents may watch the oral section. Parents are requested to pick up their children as soon as the exam is completed and attend the award ceremony after the grading is completed.

Q: When will the award ceremony begin?

Soon after the test/exam, the answers will be evaluated and the winners will be announced during the award ceremony in the afternoon. Students are requested to attend the award ceremony.

Q: What are the prizes?

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each level will be recognized with winner trophies.

All other participants will be recognized with a participation trophy.

Students will receive their awards and certificates during the award ceremony.
