The practice of Yoga is a sacred, ancient design used to encourage union and balance between the Mind, Body, and Spirit. When practicing the physical postures, we bend, we stretch, we twist, we rearrange, we breathe, we smile, we have fun, and we allow our-selves to really relax, and feel and enjoy our bodies as they move. We arrange the body into new poses, and discover and explore it from the inside, radiating out from the center of who we are. We become aware of how the body feels during and after the postures…we notice the sensations, the vibrations, the energy traveling through the body. We are always gentle with the body–we use asana as a tool to transform easefully, and we avoid forcing it into a position that is painful, produces strain, or just doesn’t feel good!
