About this class
This gentle, adaptive mat yoga class incorporates breathing and mindfulness with seated and standing postures at a slow and welcoming pace for students of all levels. Each class is joined by a string musician who will play live in the final relaxation at the end of class.
Bring your corners, curves, and curiosities and be ready to be warmly welcomed into our community. Class is virtual and free and takes place on Zoom.
Who is this class for?
You! This class is for anyone who is interested in moving their body and being part of a growing community. Come as you are. We especially welcome healthcare workers and hospital staff.
Details:
Class is 45 minutes long. Class takes place weekly on Thursdays at 6pm ET, Jan. 14-March 18, 2021. Zoom login and other info will become available upon registration.

Meet your instructor: Alison Waldman, RYT-200, y4C, AY
Alison Waldman (she/her) is a Movement Artist-in-Residence at the Georgetown Lombardi Arts & Humanities Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital where she has lead stretch breaks, yoga, mindfulness, and dance encounters since 2016. Her playful and practical sessions celebrate and empower diversity in bodies and abilities with a sharp focus on equity and accessibility. She is certified in Accessible Yoga and Yoga for Cancer. She is the Founder of Available Wellness where she facilitates community building through movement in unexpected spaces and bodies including those with multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, post-top surgery scars, and cancer.
