Description

Dr. Andrew Seidman, Memorial Sloan Kettering, presents: “Genomics and Decision-Making in Early Breast Cancer” (CME event)

6:00 p.m. Appetizers and cocktails
6:30 p.m. Buffet-style dinner
6:45 p.m. Presentation by Dr. Andrew Seidman

Participants will understand the utility of multi-gene assays to optimize decisions to use adjuvant chemotherapy in estrogen receptor positive, HER2-receptor negative early stage breast cancer.

Participants will be able to differentiate between assays that offer prognostic information from those that predict benefit from therapy.

Participants will appreciate how the use of multi-gene assays can increase the potential to avoid chemotherapy amongst patients who historically may have received it, without benefit.

Participants will be able to critically examine the level of evidence currently available to support adjuvant systemic treatment recommendations for early stage breast cancer.

Participants will be familiar with computer-assisted decision support tools that can optimize treatment decisions.
