GENJI'S ACTING CLASS

Genji Jacques Biography:

Dubbed the “Haitian” Denzel, Genji Jacques has the dynamic talents of an actor, director, and playwright. As a versatile actor, Genji becomes the character you love to hate or want to be best friends with. Inhabiting his roles with complete authenticity, he makes every scene believable and relatable to the audience. This God given gift allows Genji to portray a character he has never played before. “I study, own it, perfect it so the audience is affected by how I play the role,” says Genji. “Acting is not a hobby for me, it’s a passion, and passion is the heart of acting.” Genji’s impeccable stage presence has garnered roles in films, stage plays, and television series

Genji is a minister at The Faith Center (Formerly known as the Sunrise Musical Theater) under the covering of Bishop Henry and Pastor Carol Fernandez. He starred in the sold out play, “You’re Never Alone” with Grammy nominated Gospel Artist James Fortune as well as “When It All Falls Apart” with Grammy award winning R&B Artist, Chrisette Michelle,and R&B legend, Tony Terry both plays produced by ZoeStream Production. A huge departure from his true self, these roles yielded rave reviews, because the audience did not know whether to hate him for the character he played or love him for the man he truly is. He also starred in the best Haitian film to date, “Wind of Desire” produced by Wilkensun Bruna Production. He went on to star in “Mary Jane” produced by LCS Studio Productions and Loving Till It Hurts produced by Lunerversal Film Productions.

Genji's Acting Class Description

Drama can provide students with an outlet for emotions, thoughts, and dreams that they might not otherwise have means to express. Drama is COMMUNICATION. Like all the arts, Drama allows students to communicate with and understand others in new ways. Participation in Dramatic activity requires SELF CONTROL and DISCIPLINE that will serve the student well in all aspects of life. Drama also helps students develop TOLERANCE and EMPATHY. In order to play a role competently, an actor must be able to fully inhabit another's soul.

Genji's Acting Class focuses on educating actors of where acting originated from so they can have understanding of the craft of acting. Furthermore, engage in acting activities that will help the student develop their talent so they can affectively play a character on stage or in film. Moreover,to provide an exciting and interactive acting so students will learn; the fundamentals of acting, how to articulate their feelings in language and drama. Students who complete will have significantly increased self-awareness and a deeper understanding of their self-worth.
