Event description

Description

A team of choreographers, musical and acting directors, and writers from Broadway, Television and Film fame have guided the young people in the AWP company and apprentice company in scenes, song and dance production numbers and audience participation. The show is filled with humor, but also powerful messages about bullying, self-esteem, treating each other well, dating, making good choices and the differences and similarities between boys and girls.

“The AWP performers are brilliant, deep thinkers and this show was designed to give them a 'voice’,” said Lynn Stallings, Creative Director, AWP. “The subjects of the show came from brain-storming sessions with the young cast so each scene represents what matters to this generation. The cast has direct 'ownership' in this production.”

About Atlanta Workshop Players (AWP)
