Alongside our venue, the Metropolitan Pavilion, we’re committed to making your fair visit as safe as possible. We aim to deliver the art-filled and fun Affordable Art Fair NYC experience you know and love, while maintaining compliance with the protocols and mandates of New York City and New York State health departments, the CDC, and the WHO, following their guidance on indoor gatherings. In accordance with NY State COVID-19 recommendations, all visitors must reserve a timed-entry ticket prior to visiting the Affordable Art Fair NYC.

Please make sure you have read and understood these measures before your visit. In the interest of everyone's safety, ticket holders who don't follow these guidelines or fail to present the required documents will unfortunately not be allowed into the fair.

Required documents for you and any accompanying guests:

  1. Please show a valid ticket and arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your entry time.
  2. Please show proof of one of the below:
  • Either, proof from a certified provider of a negative PCR or NAAT test result obtained no more than 72 hours ahead of arrival.
  • Or, a letter of proof from a certified provider of a negative Rapid Antigen test result obtained no more than 24 hours ahead.
  • Or, proof of full vaccination obtained 14 days or more ahead of your visit, with an appropriate ID matching the name on the test result or vaccination proof.

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone that has not completed a full vaccination course or has completed the course but is not 14 days out from second injection will still need to test negative and provide a letter of proof from a certified provider, as detailed above.

To make our fairs a safe event for everyone, we’re implementing the following safety measures onsite:

1. Timed ticketing: Capacity will be limited to support social distancing. All visitors, including children, partners, and VIPs will need to book a timeslot to enter the fair and all tickets must be booked online in advance.

2. Socially distanced queuing system and one-way flow: When arriving at the fair, there will be a clearly marked queuing system to enter, and guided one-way route around the stands at the fair. These guidelines are in place to help with safe and social distancing, while allowing visitors to enjoy the fair and all the stunning artwork at their own pace.

3. Cashless payment: To help with health and safety, we will only be accepting card and contactless payments throughout the fair.

4. Health and safety measures: To help keep visitors, exhibitors and staff safe, we are following protocols laid out by the local government. From mandatory face masks and temperature checks as you arrive, to providing hand-sanitizer and PPE stations, increased cleaning of the restrooms and other high use areas; you can be confident that the fair is a safe environment.

5. Onsite food & beverages: We will not be operating our usual bars and café at this edition to prevent queuing and the removal of face coverings indoors to eat or drink. However, within Chelsea we are lucky to have many delicious eateries - do check with the restaurants before visiting to ensure they are operating and follow any relevant reservation processes.

6. Frequent health checks: Exhibitors and staff will be asked to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test no older than 3 days from the start of the fair build. During the fair, we will continue to perform staff wellness checks including temperature checks and of course, any staff who are feeling unwell will be asked to stay at home.

7. Venue ventilation: The Metropolitan Pavilion’s HVAC system is equipped with MERV filters rated to prevent the spread of bacteria and droplet nuclei.

Please note, children 16 years of age and younger do not need to reserve a timed ticket, but they will be required to be accompanied by a ticketed adult to enter the fair.
