Genealogy Workshop: Exploring President Bush as a Guide to Your Family Research
Do you ever wonder who your ancestors were, or if you might be related to someone famous such as a former president? Starting your family search may seem daunting, but it is easier than you think.
Join us Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 from 9 a.m. to noon as we begin the Bush Library and Museum’s celebration of Presidents Day with a free genealogy program designed specifically for novices to this increasingly popular pastime. We will show you how easy it can be to begin your own genealogical research by exploring President George Bush’s ancestral tree as an example.
This half-day workshop will demonstrate how to search records at the National Archives free of charge, or on your own through popular genealogy websites and online resources.
Presenters will guide you through census records, military documents, digital newspaper archives, informative websites and much more. This is an exceptional opportunity, so save the date on your calendar and join us for an educational morning of family, history and fun!
