Description

Gender Equity & Structural Intersectionality:
Ending Domestic Violence in the 21st Century

Due to the extreme social contradictions triggered by the current economic and political crisis, there is a window of opportunity to uncover the limitations of addressing domestic violence primarily, through the criminal justice system. This interactive workshop will introduce the concepts of intersectional structural analysis and praxis, feature examples of successful innovative intersectional models and inspire participants to experiment and seed for a new era of the domestic violence movement.

Presenter:

Ana Romero Diaz, M.A.
Director of New Initiatives
Chicago Workers Collaborative
