Empowering women in developing countries to contribute to sustainable development goals is as much on the agenda as improving women’s participation in the labour force of the developed world. Gender equality is both a fundamental human right and a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
GreenBuzz and RobecoSAM invite you, both male and female, to discuss how integrating gender issues into businesses agendas works in favour of sustainable economic and social development. The latest researchRobecoSAM, will be complemented by practical insights from corporate and social sector.

About the speakers
Elizabeth Rector, Program Leader for Girls Can Code in Afghanistan, Womanity Foundation
Elizabeth Rector is an experienced business leader who has worked in the global information technology and technology-related sectors for over 25 years. In addition to her roles in commercial leadership and CSR, she has invested significant time in advancing gender equality in the workplace. Elizabeth has served on a number of non-profit boards including Homefull, CASA, Appleseed Foundation and the Human Trafficking Project for the American Bar Association. She has been a founding member of three women’s networks as well.
At the Womanity Foundation Elizabeth is leading the development of new vocational programs for girls in Afghanistan, including the Girls Can Code and Girls Financial Empowerment programs. These groundbreaking programs are designed to improve the economic opportunities for young Afghan women and shift the cultural and community norms that often impede young women. www.womanity.org
Bianca van Dellen, Research Assistant, University of St. Gallen
Bianca has more than 10 years of work experience as a business client consultant in the banking and consulting sector. She is now working towards her PhD in Strategy & Management at the University of St. Gallen. Bianca’s PhD topic focuses on diversity in business. She works as a research assistant at the Institute for International Management (FIM-HSG), providing full support to projects of the University of St. Gallen’s Competence Centre for Diversity and Inclusion. www.ccdi-unisg.ch
Dominik Scheck, Senior Client Portfolio Manager, RobecoSAM
Dominik is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager covering RobecoSAM's thematic equity strategies. Prior to joining RobecoSAM, he worked as a fixed income portfolio manager for Credit Suisse Asset Management where he built up the UHNW segment. Dominik started his career as a portfolio manager with UBS Global Asset Management managing the Strategy Asset Allocation funds and afterwards as a Quantitative Fixed Income Analyst. www.robecosam.com
