Reiki Classes in San AntonioThis class is the first level of Usui Reiki Ryoho. Gendai™ Reiki was developed by Sensei Hiroshi Doi. Gendai means Modern, and it is a combination of both Traditional and Western Style Reiki Techniques. Western style here is defined as the branch of Reiki that started from the Hayashi/Takata Lineage. You are provided with a manual, on-line access to the Healing Bells CD and correct Japanese pronunciations of the terms, the Shoden Level Reiju (3 attunements), and a Certificate of Completion. You will learn the history of Reiki, the differences between western style and traditional style reiki, how energy systems work and how information is communicated. Emphasis is placed on learning the 5 principles, or Gokai, and their use in every day life and how they can help you achieve balance, happiness and increase your spirituality. You will learn the basic hand positions to work on yourself, and will be shown how to work on family and friends, although the emphasis of this class is on personal growth, development, and healing. First the mind heals, then the body. This is a great class for those who have never had Reiki before, and is also a good class for those who may have had Reiki but it has been some time since it was taken and they may be looking for an approach that is more closely aligned with Traditional Japanese Reiki. Students who register will be able to take refresher classes as needed, and will have access to Reiki shares especially for students to enhance their practice and personal growth. This class is approved for 8 Continuing Education Hours for Massage Therapists, provider # 451749-11. Class Cost is $175. Once you register and pay, electronic versions of the glossary, slides, and Sensei Doi's manual will be e-mailed to you and you will need to bring them with you to the class. The books and Certificate will be given during the class. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and plan on providing your own lunch.
