Event Details

GEMI's next membership meeting will be held on July 27-28, 2016 and will be hosted by Tennant Company at the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment. The meeting will examine tangible resource efficiency projects/examples from across industries, and explore steps sustainability leaders are taking to implement circular economy concepts in their businesses and create value.
  • Meeting Location: The meeting will be held in the University of Minnesota Institute on Environment, located on UMN's St. Paul campus at 1954 BUFORD AVE, SAINT PAUL, MN 55108. More information on the Institue can be found at  
  • Hotel Information:  The recommended hotel for this meeting is The Commons Hotel ( located on UMN's Minneapolis campus at 615 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Guests can go to and enter the Group Code 072616GEMI for discounted room rates. 
  • Campus Connector shuttle service connects UMN's Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes in the summer from 7:00AM to 9:30PM.   
  • Dinner: Dinner will be hosted at Fogo De Chao Minneapolis on the evening of July 27. Light rail service connects the UMN campus to the restaurant location in downtown Minneapoils, and additional transportation details will be provided.
