Work with museum featured and gallery represented mixed-media artist Rene Griffith in this one-day workshop. Rene maintains a professional studio practice in Indialantic, Florida which focuses on abstract mixed-media and collage processes. She will present short lectures and demonstrations, and you will get lots of hands-on practice using a variety of techniques and papers. Learn simple printmaking techniques using a gelli plate to create fine art papers to use in your future artwork.

The workshop begins by exploring terminology and the types of paper, inks, paint and tools you can use with your gelli plate. You will create many interesting, colorful, and unique papers to take home using layering, stenciling, and painting techniques. Your papers can then be used to make journals, books, greeting cards, and mixed-media fine art paintings.

Supplies you will need:

• Gelli Plate
• Brayer
• Paper of your choice
• Acrylic paints of your choice
