Event description
Open to Geauga and Trumbull County residents only. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Attendees who do not pre-register will be turned away.

***Attendees will enter the fairgrounds from the County Road 14 (Goodwin Ave.) entrance onto Parkman Parkway***

  • This is a drive-through service; the items will be unloaded from your vehicle for you. Attendees should stay in their vehicle at all times.
  • Due to COVID precautions, fluid containers will not be returned. If you are bringing waste fluids (like old gasoline), please transfer into containers that you will not want back.
  • NO WASTE FROM BUSINESSES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Households only.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Some household products can catch fire, react, or explode under certain circumstances, or are corrosive or toxic. Products, such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides can contain hazardous ingredients and require special care when you dispose of them.

This is the day to bring those items to us for proper disposal or recycling. Below is a list of the accepted items most commonly seen at our events.

  • Paint and paint thinners/cleaners (EXCEPT LATEX/WATER-BASED PAINT)*
  • Gasoline/Kerosene

*How to Dispose of Water-Based (latex/acrylic) Paint:

Once paint is completely dried out until hardened, it is safe to discard with your household trash. Paint can be dried by removing the lid until hardened. Adding kitty litter, oil dry, sawdust, sand or a paint hardener can speed the process.
