Event description

Description

Are you part-way through your GDPR journey?

If so, you will find this session useful and hopefully reassuring!

You will hear from six charities of varying size and reach, who have volunteered to share their internal processes and decision-making with peers from other charities.

This SWDDF meeting follows July 2017's forum when Stephen Dunmore of the Fundraising Regulator, Ken Macdonald of ICO and Gary Shipsey of Protecture addressed members on the Fundraising Preference Service and GDPR.

Since then, there have been many lawyer-led sessions and as a counter-balance, this session is by charities, for charities.

Speakers will present, in 'case study' style, how they are tackling changes in data protection in readiness for implementation of GDPR from May 2018.

Speakers:

Julian Withers and Miranda McGinn - Jessie May Trust

Emma Sambrook - HFT

Louisa Pharoah - Soil Association

Kate Few-Singh - Hospicecare

Naomi Miller - Bristol Cathedral

Marian Rose - Tree Aid

This is an OPEN MEETING and people who are not yet members of SWDDF are welcome. You might like to share this with other CEOs, Directors of Finance and Resourcing as well as Trustees who will have additional responsibilities.

I would like to give my whole-hearted thanks to all those above for generously volunteering to share their experience with colleagues.

I would also like to thank our two sponsors for helping make this SWDDF meeting happen:

Triodos Bank, for providing the venue and helping us to keep the costs down.

Inspired People, for sponsoring SWDDF again in 2018 and facilitating the network for another 12 months.
