Session: Intro to Object Detection and Semantic Segmentation for Self Driving Car Applications

Kyle is a specialist in Machine Learning and Computer Vision . Currently he is AI Tech Lead for Digitalist Studio. He specializes in Computer Vision and Deep Neural Networks with emphasis on Fully Convolutional Networks (FCNs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). He has experience in training and deploying neural networks at production scale and is known for his pragmatic approach in solving many complex ML problems. He is also part time educator specializing in deep learning and image processing. Kyle will walk us through the technology behind Self Driving cars and how they use object detection for autonomous driving. He will also be taking a workshop on Autonomous Driving and application of computer vision and machine learning in the same.

Kyle will introduce some popular Deep Learning and Computer Vision techniques currently used in the self-driving car industry. He'll outline the workflow for training Convolutional Neural Networks to perform object detection and semantic segmentation tasks. You'll get hands on experience with Tensorflow and Python through an interactive Jupyter Notebook session hosted in Google Colab. It is highly recommended that you follow along with the live coding session, so don't forget your laptop! Please prepare by signing up and getting familiar with Colab.

Session : Sustainable Solution for Smart Cities

Bob has been associated will IEEE Vancouver more than 15 years now. In past he has served as the chair of IEEE Vancouver Section and is currently heading the Computing Science Section. He is a Fellow of Engineers Canada and has served APEGBC in various capacities and presently serving as a member on Mentoring committee. He will present some sustainable solutions for building the future smart city.

4. Cleo Espiritu: Google Developer Expert for G-Suite

Session: Transforming business processes with G-Suite and Google App Maker

Can we get "non-coders" to design and build apps with minimal assistance? Why would we want to do so? In this lightning talk, we will discuss how Google App Maker and Apps Script enables "citizen developers" to create solutions to transform their business processes.
