Description

GDC technical training for cities: Privacy Challenges & how to comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)'

This training is designed to help EUROCITIES members understand and the concepts and processes necessary for a City (local public authority) and its data management chain to deal with citizen privacy while delivering smart services. Participants will learn how to conduct a privacy impact assessment (PIA) based on specific and concrete use-cases (dataset, application, service).

Participation is open to city officers, especially DPOs and data officers of local public authorities.

The workshop is being delivered by Antonio Kung (Trialog) and Antony Page (UrbanDNA). Antonio is the chair of the EIP-SCC initiative citizen approach to data: privacy-by-design. Antony is the GDPR lead for the H2020 Smart Cities & Communities project Sharing Cities (London, Lisbon and Milan). Together they have led workshops and supported Privacy Impact Assessments for the Sharing Cities with their data officers, and have provided briefing sessions for the EIP market place.
