Length of workshop: 2 days. 9am-2.30pm

The workshop focuses on Much ado abouth Nothing. Prior to attending the pupils are recommended to watch a screen adaption and read the entire play.
The two days will consist of reading and analysing the text and engaging in intensive analysis and performance of key scenes. Using dynamic, interactive, problem-solving methods, the workshop will focus on the main points covered by the GCSE exams:
Context (historical, literary, text, audience and performance)
Plot and structure
Selection and read-through of scenes to be performed on Day 2
Language, style and analysis
Strategies for tackling exams and meeting assessment objectives
Group analysis of students’ essays (anonymously) and sample essays
Rehearsal of scenes selected on Day 1
Performance of selected scenes
