GCS Boot Camp
Monday, July 12, 2010 -- 9:00am - 5:00pm
GCS Overview Training
GCS Overview training starts with the General Ledger and how the Chart of Accounts, Pools, Contracts and financial data is structured in GCS Premier. We will use a pilot database that is set up with the most used features and settings for most small government contractors. During the class, we will set up a T&M Contract, post timesheets and accounts payable, run the Revenue and Billing Process, print the Statement of Indirect Expenses and run a Month End closing.
Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13-14, 2010 -- 9:00am - 5:00pm
GCS Contracts and Billing Overview
The Contracts and Billing Overview focuses on how to set up Cost Plus, T&M and Fixed Price Contracts, plus Bid & Proposal Charge numbers following a best practices method that works for most small contractors. We will then follow a series of processing steps, from entering timesheets and AP vouchers, including consulants and subs, and the posting process. After posting, we'll run and discuss the following processes: Computing Revenue, Printing Job Status Reports, reviewing the Contract Revenue Summary and Posting the Revenue Journal. In the Billing overview section, we'll process billings and post the billing journals, and review the Unbilled Receivables report.
Thursday, July 15, 2010 -- 9:00am - 5:00pm
GCS Month End Closing Process
The Month End Closing Process will include the steps for closing based on the Deltek Special Topics called Closing the Accounting Period, customized for Solvability's recommended best practices. This class will cover the steps and the processing order, tying out reports and the financial reporting package.
Friday, July 16, 2010 -- 9:00am - 5:00pm
Impromptu for GCS Premier Full Day Training
Impromptu for GCS Premier covers the basics of creating a simple impromptu report and then uses a series of examples to build up reports to give hands-on practice to developing your own reports. Within the class, we cover how to find the data fields for your report as well as the range of basic tools within Impromptu.
Pricing is $295 per class or $1,000 for ALL. The Boot Camp Series is intended for power users that have been working with GCS Premier and need understanding of its full potential. Although it's recommended as a 4 day series, it is possible to just attend individual/selected classes at the price of $295 each.
