Cultural Medallion Recipient and Pioneer Generation Artist GOH BENG KWAN celebrates 85 years with 85 works in solo exhibition #GBK85
About this event
From 20th to 29th May 2022, one entire floor of the hotel (including 18 guest rooms) will be transformed into a physical and AR immersive experience featuring 85 pieces of Goh Beng Kwan’s original works.
This show is in celebration of his 85th year of life, his values Generosity, Bravery, and Kinship, and also in support of Mental Healthfulness brought about by his creative expression through his 60 years of being an artist.
This is the first time a local artist is exhibiting on a whole floor in a hotel - attendees can expect to view his artworks in physical form, as well as in the form of Augmented Reality, where art pieces come to life only through mobile devices.
The exhibition will take you on a journey through time, where attendees will be able to see Mr Goh's wide spectrum of art, and his journey throughout 60 years of being a Singapore/US-trained artist who has travelled extensively throughout the world, but counts Singapore as home.
Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
