Event description

Description

Get ready to dress in you're Viking garb and participate in a midsommer festival!

In this class, students will receive an overview of Viking and Slavic clothing patterns from the 8th- 12th centuries and then lay out and sew a muslin of either a tunic or dress. These ancient patterns require some adjustments, so it is recommended to first make the muslin to work out the fit before cutting into your fashion fabric. Some students may be motivated to finish the muslin and final garment before the end of the workshop, but all students will be sent home with the knowledge to complete their Viking tunics.
