Join Bay Area author Gary Soto, special guest lecturer for the San Francisco Public Library Main Children's Center's 21st Anniversary Effie Lee Morris Lecture on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 6 pm. Mr. Soto's lecture is entitled "Too Much of a Good Thing: The Many Genres of Gary Soto," and will take place in the Main Library's Koret Auditorium, 100 Larkin Street, in San Francisco.

Winner of an Academy of American Poets Award and other honors, Gary Soto was born and raised in Fresno. His numerous books of fiction, short stories, and poems for childen, teens, and adults include Baseball in April and Other Stories, Taking Sides, and Too Many Tamales. His lecture will range over the major themes of his multifaceted body of work.

A book-signing with the author will follow the lecture.
