On the publication of Bing Crosby: Swinging on a Star: The War Years, 1940-1946, biographer Gary Giddins joins in conversation with Bing’s son Harry Crosby. In the much-anticipated follow-up to the acclaimed first volume, A Pocketful of Dreams: The Early Years, 1903-1940, Giddins focuses on Crosby’s most memorable period, as his skyrocketing career reshaped American popular music and cinema. A renowned music journalist and cultural critic, Giddins is the author of Jazz, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award, among many books.
