Enjoy a moonlit evening as you wander freely through Vizcaya’s formal gardens or take a free guided tour.
In addition to exploring the beauty of the gardens by Biscayne Bay, this edition of Gardens by Moonlight will explore the numerous art installations currently situated in the gardens as part of Phase II of Lost Spaces and Stories of Vizcaya, the museum’s centennial exhibition. Exhibiting artists Duane Brant, Amanda Keeley, Lucinda Linderman, Kerry Phillips, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova, David Rohn, and Magnus Sigurdarson will be present to engage with you about their work. Juraj Kojs and the University of Miami's Frost Electronic Music Ensemble (Catalina von Wrangell, Anruo Cheng and Christopher Nolan) will create a performance that activates the moat and engages with Kojs' Moat of Sound installation through the production of sounds made by digitally processed traditional and non-traditional instruments. Guided tours of Lost Spaces will be on offer alongside garden tours.
Complete the evening with a glass of wine by the bay or indulge in the delicious temptations available for purchase in the Café & Shop and you’ll see why Gardens by Moonlight is a visitor favorite!
*Though the program starts at 6:00 p.m., guests have until 8:00 p.m. to gain entrance. Refunds for late arrival will not be given.
