Event description

Description

There is a lot of gardening information out there. But can you trust that it will work for your gardening issues? The City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission, are pleased to host a free class taught by the UGA Cooperative Extension - North Fulton Master Gardeners on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at the Alpharetta City Hall, which is located at 2 Park Plaza in Alpharetta.

This new class addresses garden practices many of us have followed for years. But, what do scientists say about these? We will discuss some practices born of old. Which are misconceptions? Are garden products on the store shelf verified by scientific fact? Do our home remedies for soil amendments and pest control work? How do mulches affect the soil and which are best for urban gardens? Please join us.
