About this event
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers.
Growing in Small Places: growing fruit at home Can you grow fruit trees and berries in the desert? You bet! Figs, nectarines, peaches, apricots, pears, apples, strawberries, cantaloupe, grapes and blackberries are just a few of the fruits you can grow at home. The fruit varieties may be different than what you're used to but the results can still be spectacular! Come and let Dr. Angela O'Callaghan instruct you on what plant attributes to look for when planning your home orchard.
