Join Columbus Gives Back as we assist Franklin Park Conservatory prepare their Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus.Designed as a living classroom and idea center, this four-acre garden provides creative resources for anyone interested in gardening and edible landscapes.
What to expect: Volunteers will help with spring clean up with tasks such as, raking leaves, picking up sticks, weeding, cutting back perennials, mulching and some planting. All supplies and materials will be provided. There will be bottled water and some snacks provided. Restroom facilities are very close.

Where to Park: Parking is available in the parking lot in front of the conservatory.
What to Wear: Please wear clothes and appropriate footwear for yard work and make sure to check the weather before leaving your house. If we have light rain, we will still work, but heavy rain and thunderstorms we will cancel.
After the Event: Volunteers are invited to come out for food and drinks afterwards!
Additional Information: There will be a tour and brief orientation for 20 minutes and projects will be discussed. Volunteers should meet at main entrance to the conservatory promptly at 5:00. We will walk over to the community garden campus and have our orientation and begin our project.
About the Conservatory: Built in 1895, Franklin Park Conservatory is a botanical landmark two miles east of downtown Columbus. It is a premier horticultural and educational institution showcasing exotic plant collections, special exhibitions, and a signature collection of work by glass artist Dale Chihuly.
Set within the 88 acres of Franklin Park, the Conservatory houses 400 species of plants from a variety of global climate zones and features a Victorian Palm House with more than 40 species of palms. It is surrounded by botanical gardens and floral displays.
