The first in a new series of garden forums, this program will highlight the experiences of gardeners living east of the Anacostia. Through their personal reflections, conversation will trace the importance of gardening to East of the River communities over time, its connections to cultural and familial histories, its challenging of the accepted narratives pertaining to life east of the Anacostia, and the essential role it plays in the health of communities. Discussion will be followed by a cooking demonstration.
