Learn a range of printmaking techniques using Deborah's portable etching press in a beautiful, sunny and very productive permaculture vegetable garden in South Hobart, looking up to nearby Kunanyi / Mt Wellington.
A group of 10 people will immerse themselves in monoprint and dry-point plate making techniques, draw plants under magnification and study flowers and insects in Suzi/s vibrant production garden. We will be working inside and out, around the woodfired pizza oven and eat a scrumptious lunch picked and cooked straight from the garden. Everyone will learn and take away a new skill and learn much from Suzi about how she nurtures her soil to provide an abundant harvest of a vast range of fruit and vegetables.
Suzi's garden uses permaculture principles and the latest soil biology to create a healthy soil and to grow nutrient-dense vegetables. It is an experimental garden where methods for achieving soil health are always being trialled.
All printmaking materials are provided, just bring an apron and sunhat. Im looking forward to your company : )
